BLUECORNERINC. is a boutique marketing and capital introduction firm based in Spain. We specialize in building relationships with clients who use the services offered by independent research analysts and both alternative and traditional investment managers.

Kelly McKean, CFA - Founder and Principal

In September of 2003, in an effort to expand on her success in research sales, Kelly began writing strategic marketing plans designed to help hedge funds raise assets. Since that time she has been successful in fundraising for such diverse strategies as Chinese distressed, convertible bonds and Activist L/S. In four years, Kelly has accumulated an extensive network of investor contacts in the United States and in Europe. She has built Blue Corner into a 4 person team focused on supporting hedge fund managers in every aspect of marketing and fundraising.

Prior to founding BLUECORNERINC., Kelly worked with StarMine, a financial services software company, where she launched StarMine Monitor, the company’s sell-side product, and proceeded to land Merrill Lynch, the number one ranked brokerage firm in the U.S., as the first anchor client. In New York, Kelly worked with ING Barings Furman Selz on the high yield trading desk, ran the financial analyst training program and worked with the leveraged loan department to promote ING’s service offerings. Kelly’s international experience includes work in Hong Kong with Accenture on a technology/change management project for Standard Chartered Bank.

After obtaining a Chemical Engineering degree from Auburn University, Kelly went to work for Eastman Chemical Company selling 350 chemical products and calling on a diverse group of industries. Kelly received her MBA in finance from Tulane University. She sits on the alumni board of directors and is the current Tulane Alumni Club President in the San Francisco area. Kelly is on the board of the Financial Women's Association of San Francisco and has been instrumental in starting a mentoring program for the FWA's scholarship winners. She is a CFA charterholder and is a member of the CFA Institute and the San Francisco Society of Security Analysts.

BLUE CORNER – Palau, Micronesia

Blue Corner, the best known and most highly rated dive site in Micronesia, features a shallow coral shelf that projects out into the ocean and has vertical walls on both sides. An upwelling created by the currents attracts schools of fish and large pelagics. Using reef hooks, divers tether to the shelf while schools of gray reef sharks cruise the edge of the wall. Two resident Napoleon wrasses often accompany divers. Dogtooth tuna, eagle rays, manta rays, turtles, schooling barracudas, white tip sharks and hammerheads populate the site.
